Hi, I’m Laura…

Sit next to me long enough and I will likely hand you a tiny 🐸 frog and start talking about breathing, the brain, and why taking care of yourself is actually good for others. Stick around, and I’ll explain why listening to your brain-body-mind cues is the key to avoiding “boiling your frog.”

My Official Bio Will Tell You That…

I’m a transformational speaker and coach with over 20 years of experience in speaking, teaching, and coaching. These days, I spend my time helping people and organizations navigate change and achieve meaningful results using The Structured Shift Solution - a system that blends relational neuroscience, the power of universal laws, and strategic change management best practices.

Why this? Because when we understand how the brain works, add in a bit of the woo-woo, and apply proven change strategies, success becomes inevitable.

With a background spanning education, IT, and leadership development, I integrate a unique, multi-industry perspective on how people and systems work together. My passion is bridging the gap between big, abstract challenges and practical, empowered action. Whether it’s helping leaders navigate organizational change or guiding individuals toward their next chapter, my specialty is turning overwhelm into clarity and progress.

What lights me up? That “aha” moment. The instant someone realizes they aren’t stuck, that they already have the tools, and that they are resourced to move forward. I’ve been told it’s my structured yet compassionate approach, my ability to blend brain science with actionable strategies, and the safe spaces I create that make the biggest impact.

Behind the Scenes, I Will Tell You That…

For much of my life, I didn’t know how to navigate change. I hid the exhaustion, the self-doubt, the feeling of being under-resourced. I convinced myself (and everyone else) that I could handle it all - while also taking care of whatever you needed, too.

I thrived on being the doer. The go-to. The problem solver. The one who made things happen. Admitting I didn’t have it all together? Never going to happen.

  • Someone needed something? I was there.

  • Need a volunteer? I was your person.

  • Busy-ness became my badge of honor.

The result?

Eventually, I hit my breaking point. Missed deadlines. Slipping commitments. A mystery autoimmune condition left me drained and defeated. My relationships suffered. My body was fighting itself. And I felt trapped in a cycle I didn’t know how to break.

Then, one day, I heard a speaker say: “I did everything fear told me to do… and it all fell apart anyway.”

It was like they were standing in my kitchen, speaking directly to me. That was the day I decided to take control - in a completely different way.

How I Created The Structured Shifts Solution

I dove deep into the why and how of change. I studied:

  • The neuroscience behind habits, fear, and transformation.

  • The natural laws that shape our experiences.

  • The metaphysical and psychological insights behind lasting change.

  • The work of great thinkers, business strategists, and change leaders.

I combined my training in business, change management, relational neuroscience, education, and leadership development to build a practical, repeatable approach that makes change clear, actionable, and achievable.

That became The Structured Shifts Solution.

Today, I teach this approach to leaders, organizations, and individuals who are ready to step into their next level. I love working with people who are navigating change, helping them see that transformation isn’t just possible - it’s inevitable when you have the right approach.

Nothing excites me more than hearing about - and witnessing - the shifts happening in real time.

  • Laura delivered the perfect ending session after a long day of learning and collaborating. She's not only engaging and a phenomenal presenter, but she meets audience members where they are at and challenges how they think. I'd recommend Laura to be a keynote speaker at any event.

Lauren Owens - Executive Director of Technology

  • You're a mentor - you've activated seeds of empowerment that have been sitting dormant for years.

  • “When I first met Laura, I didn't know her very well. I was skeptical about the content, being open in a space with my colleagues, and allocating time to this work rather than things I thought I should be doing. I was quickly transformed and found her content impacted all areas of my life. In addition, Laura's personality and demeanor made me feel so safe and cared about that working in a cohort became fun!

  • I use the tools Laura uses within her coaching every day. I love how multiple tools are presented over time, letting people attach to different ones and internalize in a unique way. For me, the The Four Life Domains has been especially impactful. Daily, I consider my choices and rather than achieving "balance" I focus on what domain needs more attention.

  • Laura walks the talk. She truly cares about people and has the best interest of others in mind -- while continuing to put herself first -- to be able to be awesome for the folks she is coaching. I have become a champion for Laura and the content she guides participants through -- so much so that I am constantly referencing her and encouraging others to seek her out!”
